Those characters you fall in love with.

As I reader I have always had favorite story characters that I think about long after I have finished reading the book. What I didn’t realize was that as a writer, these favorites are even more real, and if they exist in flesh and blood, not simply the realm of imagination.

In this segment of the behind-the-scenes video for my book The Saint and the Fasting Girl I had a chance to talk about my favorite characters, and a couple others. In watching the footage I am amazed to hear myself say that so-and-so is an “amazing human being.” In my heart it feels true! But of course, fiction is fiction…
